How Payment Works
Interac e-Transfer in five steps, straight from any Canadian bank.
Everything here is paid by Interac e-Transfer. It is bank-to-bank, works from every Canadian account, and leaves nothing on a statement that describes a purchase. If you have ever paid a friend back for dinner, you already know how to do this.
Your details live on the order confirmation
The moment you place an order, the confirmation page (plus its email copy) hands you the complete kit:
- the recipient email for the transfer (it rotates; always use the one from your newest order),
- the recipient name to enter, exactly as printed,
- the amount, to the cent,
- the security question and answer to copy word for word,
- and your order number, the only thing that belongs in the message box.
Golden rule: nothing about the products goes anywhere in the transfer. Not in the message, the question, the answer, or the name. Order number in the message field; everything else stays boring on purpose.
The five steps
- Open your banking app; find Interac e-Transfer / Send Money.
- New recipient: the email and name from your confirmation page.
- Amount: the exact order total.
- Security question and answer: copied exactly (case matters at most banks; we do not use auto-deposit).
- Message: your order number, alone. Send it.
Then what
Transfers usually land in minutes; a bank sometimes holds a first-time recipient for up to half an hour. Once we claim it, your order is processing and ships within 1 business day.
Fixes for common slips
- No order number in the message: send the order number plus your bank's transfer reference through the contact form and we match it by hand.
- Wrong amount: short? Send a top-up with the same order number. Over? Message us and we square it away.
- Stale recipient address: unclaimed transfers bounce back to you within a day or two; re-send to the address on your latest confirmation.
